Individuals and couples experiencing fertility challenges tend to focus primarily on biological concerns. Often, the emotional impact of striving towards the goal of conception when there are difficulties encountered in reaching this goal receives little attention. Depression and anxiety are common during this time. Individual and couple growth often suffers in an overriding goal to conceive a child.

Additionally, there is a well-established relationship between the mind and it’s ability to affect the body. Hormone levels are influenced by stress. Shifts in hormone levels affect conception. Engaging in a Conscious Fertility Process enhances the well being of the individuals by re-establishing the mind/body connection to deal appropriately with increased stressors. Carra Eddy is a Master’s Level trained counselor through Webster University graduating with distinction with a Masters in Counseling and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida since March, 2001 and has enjoyed private practice counseling with individuals, couples and adolescents for the past seven years.
