Swedish Relaxation

A full-body Swedish Relaxation Massage is an excellent introduction to massage. Therapists apply long, flowing strokes as well as friction, tapotement, compression, and kneading to muscles and soft tissue to promote the release of tension and deep relaxation. In addition to the inducement of deep relaxation, Swedish massage has been shown to help reduce pain and joint stiffness.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue massage has all the same components as Swedish massage but with progressively firmer pressure using thumbs, knuckles, forearms, and elbows, which focus on releasing muscle tension and chronic knots, always working within the client’s tolerance level. Deep tissue can help break up adhesions and scar tissue, flush out lactic acids and toxins, and increase oxygen and blood flow. It's beneficial to be hydrated before you begin.

Medical / Neuromuscular Massage

Medical / Neuromuscular massage is excellent for pain relief. It works very specifically with the muscles by addressing the origin and insertion of the muscle (where it begins and ends), the belly of the muscle, and any trigger points (areas of pain). These techniques are ideally suited for clients with chronic pain resulting from a variety of factors, including stress, strain and injuries, car accidents, and chronic poor posture.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Treatment -Vodder Technique

Screen+Shot+2021-04-07+at+12.31.17+PM.jpg

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a gentle detox therapy that drains excess fluid from the body and helps remove waste and toxins from body tissues to improve the overall functioning of the lymphatic system. This technique lightly stretches the walls of the lymph vessels and encourages lymph drainage, leading to general detoxification of the system.  MLD aims to help the body maintain proper blood circulation, fluid balance, and immune functions, promoting pain control and relaxation. Manual Lymphatic Drainage helps people suffering from several pathologies, such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraines, chronic pain reduction, and others.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage for Post-Surgical Procedures

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is beneficial to the healing process when used after your surgical procedure. This treatment is gentle yet powerful intended to improve reabsorption and promotes drainage of fluid accumulated in the body and removes waste products of cell metabolism. A side effect of surgery is swelling which is a normal inflammatory response and part of the healing process. Some of the most common surgeries are Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), Liposuction, Facelift, Breast Surgery (Augmentation, Reduction, Lift), Mastectomy/Breast Reconstruction, and Knee Surgery.

Why is Post–Surgery Manual Lymphatic Drainage important?

  • Speed up the healing process - by reducing swelling, fluid retention, and bruising, increasing the removal of cellular debris and other waste from the traumatized area

  • Reduces scar formation -fibrosis (hard lumps)

  • Immune response - decrease the risks of infection

  • Reduce pain and sensitivity by speeding healing

  • Relieves stress - which helps anyone who has been having trouble sleeping

  • Increase range of motion

What is NOT Post-Surgery Manual Lymphatic Drainage?

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage is NOT opening incision wounds to drain fluid out of the body.

  • Post-Surgical Manual Lymphatic Drainage is NOT deep tissue massage.

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage should NEVER hurt.

Myofascial Massage

Myofascial is a very effective massage technique that provides sustained pressure into myofascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. In the normal healthy state, the fascia (or connective tissue) is relaxed and wavy in configuration and has the ability to stretch and move without restriction. However, physical trauma, scarring, or inflammation can cause the fascia to lose flexibility. It then becomes tight and a source of tension to the rest of the body, affecting flexibility, mobility, and stability. Therapists use prolonged light pressure without movement but with a specific direction to warm the fascia. This helps the tissue to return to its more fluid state, releasing restrictions and providing clients with reduced pain and increased mobility.

Trigger Point Therapy is also sometimes called pressure point massage. A trigger point is an area of hyper-irritability, a muscle that may refer to pain sensations such as tenderness, spasm, numbness, and tingling in other parts of the body. Shiatsu/Acupressure

Shiatsu means "finger pressure" and is the Japanese form of acupressure, a type of therapeutic massage based on traditional Chinese medicine. It is like acupuncture without the needles and combines massage with stretches and gentle pressure along channels or rivers called meridians. Each meridian corresponds to a particular organ or organ function. Key energetic acu-points along the meridians address particular functions in the body. The therapist stimulates the points by pressing with the hands and fingers to allow the flow of energy through the meridians. When the meridians are balanced, the tissues, nerves, muscles and bones respond in kind.

Essential Oil Body Wrap & Massage

The Essential Oil Body Wrap & Massage is a truly unique experience that is cleansing and highly therapeutic. This body wrap incorporates the purest DoTerra Essential Oils involved in 3 consecutive steps: the first is a combination of six DoTerra Essential Oils: Cypress, Lemongrass, Juniper, Fennel, Lavender, and Sandalwood in a base of coconut oil. This combination is a highly effective detoxifier and natural diuretic. Before application of the oils, your skin is dry-brushed to remove uric acid and dead skin, and then essential oils are applied to both sides of the body. Next, you will be wrapped in layers of a cotton sheet and towels and a Far Infrared Sauna Blanket. As you sweat, your body releases accumulated impurities through your skin (the largest eliminative organ). The essential oils penetrate deeply to cleanse, purify, and increase blood and lymphatic circulation. The second phase happens after unwrapping; the oils will be removed with moist, warm steam towels. The third and final step is a full-hour massage with a light application of the formula used in step one. Refreshed, cleansed, and relaxed, you will feel amazing and are encouraged to continue drinking water throughout the day.

REMINDER NOTE: You should not shower, bathe, swim, or whirlpool until the next day. Contraindicated for pregnancy or nursing.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a science based on the principle that reflex areas in the feet and hands correspond to all glands, organs, and parts of the body. Stimulating these reflexes properly can help many health problems naturally. The idea behind Reflexology is not new - in fact, it was practiced as early as 2330 B.C. by the Egyptian culture. As we know it today, reflexology was first researched and developed by Eunice Ingham, the pioneer in this field. Reflexology is primarily used to relax tension by improving nerve and blood supply and helping nature normalize.

CranioSacral Therapy and Somato Emotional Release

This therapeutic service may be combined to offer a personalized treatment.

What is Cranio Sacral Therapy?  Cranio Sacral Therapy (CST) is a light touch, manual therapy that releases tensions and restriction deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve overall health.

What is Somato Emotional Release?  Somato Emotional Release (SER) is a therapeutic process designed to rid your mind and body of the residual effects of past injuries and negative experiences. SER uses the principles of CranioSacral therapy. While each person’s response to a SER is different, common experiences include:

  • Spontaneous memories of the trauma that led to the trapped emotions.

  • The unexpected welling up of emotions such as fear, sadness, anger, frustration, and guilt.

  • A sense of relief, lightness, exhilaration, and joy once the emotions are released.

Whatever response, Somato Emotional Release is a natural process that occurs when your body is ready to release the final residue of painful, trapped emotions. It’s never forced, and your therapist is right there to support you every step of the way.

What can I expect during a treatment session? A typical session lasts 60 minutes and takes place in a quiet setting. The treatment is performed with the client fully clothed and lying on a comfortable massage table.  Using a light touch, the therapist evaluates or “listens to” the body for tension patterns and imbalances.

What are the benefits of CranioSacral and Somato Emotional Release?

  • Pain alleviation

  • Stress and tension release

  • Increased energy flow

  • Help the body to self-correct

  • Overall relaxation and revitalization

CranioSacral & Sound Healing©

A treatment designed to help soothe and nurture the mind and body by focusing the attention on the present moment. The therapy will start with a sound healing session. Sound Healing is a therapy that combines different sounds and instruments to improve our well-being. The therapist plays various instruments while you relax in the soothing sounds and vibrations. A harp can be placed onto the body, and the vibrations and sound frequencies then induce a profoundly relaxed vital state in the brain, activating the body’s self-healing system. Then, we will follow with CranioSacral Therapy to balance and regulate the central nervous system. Sound healing and CranioSacral are effective and natural ways to improve health on all levels – physical, mental, and spiritual.

Precious - Sacred Stillness©

Obtain a deeper state of relaxation and improve the movement of the cerebral spinal fluid throughout the body. It promotes better overall health and well-being with the powerful combination of Vagus Nerve Stimulation with Craniosacral Therapy.

Vagus Nerves Stimulation has been used for decades to treat stress-related, inflammatory, and immune-related diseases. The vagus nerve is part of the autonomic nervous system, the body's unconscious control system that regulates our internal organs to optimize health, growth, and homeostasis (balance). Vagus Nerves Stimulation applies low-frequency DC microcurrent stimulation through a tiny clip onto the ear lobe. This treatment stimulates the auricular branch of the vagus nerve to activate vagal tone.

Craniosacral therapy, on the other hand, supports the nervous system's regulation of the body's natural healing. It's a light-touch approach that can create dramatic improvements in your life. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. (no undressing is needed for this treatment).

Physical & Mental Balance©

Achieve physical body and mental/emotional balance with the potent combination of Micro Point Stimulation- Auricular Therapy and Craniosacral Therapy. Auricular Therapy is based on the idea that the ear is a microsystem, reflecting the entire body in the ear.

Auricular Therapy refers to light microcurrent applied to the ear, stimulating the central nervous system through the cranial and spinal nerves. This stimulation results in neurotransmitters modulating the pain and the nerve function to begin the healing process within that body part. Auricular Therapy has been shown to stimulate the release of endorphins, the body's "feel good" chemicals. Auricular Therapy has a powerful effect on the nervous and emotional system.

Microcurrent Point Stimulation Scar/Adhesion Release Therapy

Scars and related adhesions frequently result in a tightening of the surrounding tissue that can restrict movement or function in the body. Also, scar tissue restrictions have the potential to spread in any direction, including internally throughout the body. These restrictions not only affect joints, limbs, or surrounding areas, but they can affect the underlying organs, and compress nerves too.

Microcurrent Point Stimulation is based on the scientific concept of increasing the skin’s inter-cellular metabolism, protein synthesis, and healing function to re-awaken the skin’s ability to self-generate. By targeting direct cellular stimulation of microcurrent waves through the scars, it works by reducing dermal trauma, adhesions, and fascia restrictions –proven to deliver 73.2% pain relief after a single application. https://www.mpscourses.com/research-publications/

Benefits of the Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) Scar/Adhesion Release Therapy:

1.     Speeds up the healing process of the scar
2.     Decreases pain in the connective tissue
3.     Helps to relax and fade scar tissue
4.     Improve mobility
5.     Reduce complications

Scars that we often treat include breast augmentation, reduction or mastectomy, c-sections, abdominoplasty (tummy tucks), removal of deep moles or skin lesions, facelifts, total knee replacement, trauma scars, or any scars from surgeries. No matter how old the scar is, we can usually make significant physical changes. https://youtu.be/eOi30Mquqd8

 How It Works:
The technique involves the simultaneous application of a safe low-level electrical impulse to each side of the scar. The microcurrent helps to relax and fade scar tissue, which can impede the functioning of muscles, fascia, and cause pain.
Each session lasts from 15 to 30 minutes. This treatment is completely painless. https://youtu.be/y_7jF_Kq3v4
Dead cells and scar tissue are broken down by the body; circulation is increased to the area; and the lymphatic system excretes the dead cells. You will see visible changes in the appearance of the scar and gradually will notice a reduction in the tightness and restriction.

How many treatments are necessary?
The duration of treatment will depend on how long you’ve had the scar, how deep it is, and the severity of any pain you may be having. Your therapist will be able to further guide you regarding this during the appointment.
